[Paris Air Show | June 17, 2025] – ZeroAvia, a leader in hydrogen-electric aviation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Loganair to explore the deployment of zero-emission hydrogen-electric propulsion on regional routes across the UK, particularly in Scotland.

雙方合作聚焦於ZeroAvia目前正在英國民航局(CAA)主導下進行認證的 ZA600 氫電動力系統,此系統設計應用於10–20座級別飛機,首架平台為Cessna Caravan,未來也將推展至廣泛使用於蘇格蘭偏遠地區的 Twin Otter
The collaboration centers on ZeroAvia’s 600kW ZA600 hydrogen-electric powertrain, currently under certification with the UK CAA. Targeted for aircraft in the 10–20 seat range—including the Twin Otter, a mainstay of Loganair’s operations in the Scottish Highlands & Islands—the ZA600 promises quiet, emission-free regional connectivity.

同時開發中的 ZA2000 系統 則鎖定40–80座級別的區域渦槳機,如 ATR 42/72 機型,Loganair目前擁有超過20架此類飛機,顯示未來擴展潛力巨大。
ZeroAvia is also progressing on the larger ZA2000 modular engine, designed for 40–80 seat aircraft such as the ATR family, of which Loganair operates more than 20 units—making it an ideal future customer for the technology.

氫燃料電池引擎只排放水,不產生碳或氮氧化物,更在高空不易形成凝結尾流(contrail)的飛行高度下實現「實質零排放」,有望成為地區航空脫碳的核心解方。
Hydrogen-electric propulsion produces only water as its byproduct and avoids contrail formation at regional cruise altitudes—making it a practical solution for truly emission-free flight.

此類動力系統的另一項關鍵優勢為可顯著降低維修成本與燃料支出。相較傳統噴氣引擎,氫電系統機械構造更簡潔,運營可靠性與經濟性更高。
These novel systems also offer long-term economic benefits: with fewer moving parts and reduced maintenance downtime, airlines can expect lower costs—especially as hydrogen fuel becomes more economically viable than kerosene.

ZeroAvia與Loganair的合作關係也進一步建立於蘇格蘭當地的產業布局。ZeroAvia已宣布將在格拉斯哥機場旁設立氫燃料電池製造中心,並與機場本身合作推動加氫基礎建設。
This MOU builds upon ZeroAvia’s growing presence in Scotland, where the company is establishing a hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing facility near Glasgow Airport—also the headquarters of Loganair—and is actively engaged in regional hydrogen infrastructure planning.

ZeroAvia創辦人暨執行長 Val Miftakhov 表示:「Loganair團隊對社區連結的承諾令人敬佩,他們的航網正好適合我們ZA600與ZA2000兩大平台的未來應用。」
