日本、英國與義大利共同推動的第六代戰機計畫「全球戰鬥航空計畫」（GCAP）持續取得新進展。根據日本媒體及多位相關人士透露，日本正協商由位於愛知縣豐山町的三菱重工小牧南工廠，作為日本基地承擔機體組裝的核心工作，未來將成為GCAP日本端的重要生產據點。

The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), jointly developed by Japan, the United Kingdom, and Italy, continues to make steady progress. According to Japanese media and multiple sources familiar with the project, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' Komaki South Plant in Toyoyama, Aichi Prefecture, is being considered as Japan's primary aircraft assembly site and is expected to become a key production hub for the country's role in the program.

擁有F-35A組裝經驗　三國持續協商分工

小牧南工廠過去曾負責航空自衛隊F-35A戰機的組裝工作，具備先進戰機製造與系統整合能力。目前日、英、義三國仍持續協商設計與製造分工，除了日本之外，英國與義大利的生產基地也可能承擔部分重要組裝工序，共同推動GCAP量產。

The Komaki South Plant previously assembled F-35A fighters for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, providing it with extensive expertise in advanced fighter manufacturing and systems integration. Japan, the United Kingdom, and Italy are continuing negotiations over design and production responsibilities, with facilities in the UK and Italy also expected to undertake key assembly tasks as the program moves toward production.

三菱重工於2023年正式終止SpaceJet（原MRJ）國產噴射客機計畫後，已將GCAP列為最重要的航空發展項目之一，並將原本投入SpaceJet的大批研發人才轉投入下一代戰機計畫，持續累積先進航太技術。

Following the cancellation of the SpaceJet (formerly MRJ) regional jet program in 2023, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has repositioned GCAP as one of its highest-priority aerospace projects. Engineers and specialists previously assigned to SpaceJet have been transferred to the next-generation fighter program, reinforcing Japan's long-term aerospace capabilities.

加拿大加入觀察　GCAP國際合作持續擴大

Canada Joins as Observer as GCAP Expands International Cooperation

雖然三國仍持續協調生產分工，但GCAP整體計畫正穩步推進。今年法恩堡國際航空展期間，加拿大正式宣布成為GCAP首個觀察員國家，象徵該計畫的國際合作版圖持續擴大，也反映外界對第六代戰機計畫的高度關注。

Although production responsibilities are still under discussion, the GCAP program continues to advance steadily. During the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, Canada was officially announced as the first observer nation to join GCAP, marking an expansion of international cooperation and growing global interest in the sixth-generation fighter initiative.

Edgewing整合三國產業能量　推動第六代戰機發展

Edgewing Integrates Three Nations’ Industrial Strengths

目前GCAP由跨國合資企業Edgewing負責整體推動，並已獲得日本、英國與義大利政府授權及相關合約。Edgewing由英國貝宜系統（BAE Systems）、義大利李奧納多（Leonardo），以及代表日本航太產業的日本航空機產業振興公司（JAIEC）共同組成，負責整合三國技術與產業資源，加速推動GCAP研發與未來量產工作。

The GCAP program is led by the multinational joint venture Edgewing, which has already secured contracts and government authorization from Japan, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The company brings together BAE Systems, Leonardo, and the Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Company (JAIEC), representing Japan's leading aerospace manufacturers, to integrate the three nations' technologies and industrial resources while accelerating the development and future production of the next-generation fighter.
