The U.S. Air Force’s next-generation E-4C Doomsday Plane successfully conducted its maiden flight on August 7 in Dayton, Ohio. Manufacturer Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) will continue evaluations to validate the platform’s advanced systems and survivability.

E-4C 在完成首飛後，將於 2026 年前持續執行 地面與飛行測試，驗證 可靠性與穩定性，再安裝 先進通訊系統、防護裝置，最終形成完整戰力。

The aircraft will undergo a series of ground and flight trials through 2026, focusing on reliability and stability before receiving advanced communication suites and protective systems.

🔹 技術與計畫核心

• 平台來源：由 大韓航空購自波音 747-8I 客機改裝

• 關鍵防護：抗核輻射、抗電磁脈衝（EMP）設計

• 任務角色：美空軍「高生存性空中作戰中心」（SAOC）計畫主軸，接替 E-4B

目前 SNC 正在岱頓廠區為 4 架波音 747-8I 進行不同階段的改裝，預計 2036 年全數交付。

Converted from Boeing 747-8I airframes acquired via Korean Air, the E-4C features radiation and EMP hardening. As the centerpiece of the SAOC program, it will replace the aging E-4B fleet by 2036.

🔹 搭配 TACAMO 系統

除了 E-4C，美軍同樣推進 E-130J 指揮管制機，專責海軍「接管與撤離」（TACAMO）任務。該機已於 9 月初完工出廠，預計 2028 年服役，屆時將與 E-4C 搭配，形成 戰略嚇阻雙核心。
