First 35 Viper Shield Systems Completed, Including Initial Podded Unit
美國L3Harris公司已完成首批35套「蝮蛇之盾」(Viper Shield)電子戰系統生產,其中包括首組外掛莢艙型AN/ALQ-254(V)2,象徵這款新一代F-16專用電戰系統朝後續交付邁出重要一步,未來可望加速為盟邦F-16機隊提供更完整的電子戰防護能力。
L3Harris has completed production of the first 35 Viper Shield electronic warfare systems, including the first externally mounted AN/ALQ-254(V)2 podded system. The milestone marks an important step toward delivery of the next-generation F-16 electronic warfare system and could accelerate the provision of enhanced electronic protection for allied F-16 fleets.
L3Harris 3日證實,首批35套「蝮蛇之盾」已完成生產,其中第一組採用外掛配置的電戰莢艙也已完成組裝。雖然公司並未公布這35套系統中,內載型與莢艙型各自所占的數量,但強調已達成既定生產里程碑,後續將持續推進「蝮蛇之盾」系列全速量產。
L3Harris confirmed on the 3rd that production of the first 35 Viper Shield systems has been completed, with the first externally mounted electronic warfare pod also assembled. Although the company did not disclose how many of the 35 systems are internal or podded configurations, it emphasized that the production milestone has been achieved and that full-rate production of the Viper Shield family will continue.
目前已有233套「蝮蛇之盾」系統下單,預計交付8個用戶國使用。隨著量產持續推進,相關系統可望逐步整合至盟邦F-16機隊,進一步提升現役戰機面對雷達、電子干擾及其他電磁威脅時的生存能力。
A total of 233 Viper Shield systems have been ordered for delivery to eight customer nations. As production progresses, the systems are expected to be progressively integrated into allied F-16 fleets, enhancing the survivability of existing aircraft against radars, electronic jamming and other electromagnetic threats.

「蝮蛇之盾」目前分為兩種主要構型,其中AN/ALQ-254(V)1為內載型,主要供新製F-16「第70批次」(Block 70)戰機裝備;AN/ALQ-254(V)2則採外掛莢艙配置,鎖定經性能提升至接近F-16 Block 70水準的F-16V機隊。
The Viper Shield is currently offered in two primary configurations. The internally integrated AN/ALQ-254(V)1 is intended for newly built F-16 Block 70 aircraft, while the externally mounted AN/ALQ-254(V)2 pod is designed for F-16V fleets upgraded to a capability level comparable to the Block 70 standard.
這樣的雙構型設計,可讓不同來源與不同升級狀態的F-16戰機取得相應的電子戰防護能力。其中內載型可直接整合於新造機體,莢艙型則能以較具彈性的方式搭載於既有F-16V,有助於延續現役機隊的作戰效能,並因應未來更複雜的電磁作戰環境。
The two configurations allow F-16 aircraft with different production and upgrade histories to receive appropriate electronic warfare protection. The internally integrated version can be incorporated directly into new-build aircraft, while the podded version provides greater flexibility for existing F-16V fleets, helping preserve their combat effectiveness while addressing increasingly complex electromagnetic warfare environments.

L3Harris強調,「蝮蛇之盾」是目前唯一已進入量產、專為F-16戰機打造的電子戰系統。該系統由L3Harris與盟國合作研發,並已累積相關測試及裝備經驗,主要目的在於讓F-16能夠有效偵測、追蹤與識別電子威脅。
L3Harris emphasizes that Viper Shield is currently the only electronic warfare system in production specifically designed for the F-16. Developed in cooperation with allied nations, the system has accumulated extensive testing and integration experience and is designed to enable F-16 aircraft to detect, track and identify electronic threats effectively.
「蝮蛇之盾」也能與機載AN/APG-83「可變敏捷波束雷達」(SABR)協同運作,透過數位化運算能力分析與處理電磁環境,協助飛行員掌握威脅態勢並採取相應反制措施。這種電戰系統與機載雷達的整合,可望進一步提升F-16在複雜電磁環境下的作戰生存能力。
Viper Shield can also operate in conjunction with the AN/APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR), using digital processing capabilities to analyze and respond to the electromagnetic environment. This integration can help pilots maintain awareness of electronic threats and employ appropriate countermeasures, potentially improving the F-16’s survivability in contested electromagnetic environments.
隨著首批35套系統完成生產,以及首具AN/ALQ-254(V)2莢艙完成組裝,「蝮蛇之盾」正逐步從研發與測試階段走向規模化交付。對仍廣泛服役於多國空軍的F-16而言,透過新型電子戰系統升級,將成為延長機隊壽命並維持其在高威脅空域作戰能力的重要手段。
With the first 35 systems completed and the initial AN/ALQ-254(V)2 pod assembled, Viper Shield is moving from development and testing toward large-scale delivery. For F-16 fleets that remain widely deployed across multiple air forces, upgrading electronic warfare capabilities could become an important means of extending service life while maintaining combat effectiveness in increasingly contested airspace.
