瑞典政府於 2025 年 10 月 6 日宣布，將採購 四架 Embraer C-390 Millennium 多任務軍用運輸機，並簽訂 七項後續選購權，為歐洲未來聯合採購開啟新篇章。

這項採購是 瑞典、荷蘭與奧地利三方軍購合作計畫 的一部分，旨在透過聯合採購與共同維修訓練，強化歐洲區域防衛與空運互操作性。簽約儀式於 烏普薩拉空軍基地（Uppsala Air Base） 舉行，瑞典國防部長 Pål Jonson 主持，並邀請荷蘭、奧地利、葡萄牙、匈牙利與捷克等現有 C-390 操作國代表出席。

自 2019 年服役以來，C-390 已展現高度可靠性，任務完成率高達 99%。該機能運載 26 噸貨物，飛行速度達 470 節，可執行空運、醫療後送、滅火與人道救援等任務，並能在未鋪設跑道起降。

Sweden Orders Four Embraer C-390 Millennium Aircraft in Joint European Procurement

Uppsala, Sweden — October 6, 2025 – The Kingdom of Sweden has ordered four Embraer C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft, with seven additional purchase options, as part of a trilateral European procurement initiative with the Netherlands and Austria. The agreement marks a significant milestone in Europe’s defense cooperation and tactical airlift modernization.

The signing ceremony at Uppsala Air Base was attended by Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson, Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Jonas Wikman, and representatives from other C-390 operators including the Netherlands, Brazil, Austria, Portugal, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

With this acquisition, Sweden joins NATO allies in adopting the C-390, following earlier orders by the Netherlands and Austria. “This purchase strengthens the Swedish Air Force’s modernization and operational efficiency while deepening interoperability with European partners,” said Minister Jonson.

Embraer Defense & Security CEO Bosco da Costa Junior welcomed Sweden to the program, calling the deal “proof that the C-390 Millennium has become Europe’s new tactical airlift standard.”

Since entering service in 2019, the C-390 has achieved a 99% mission completion rate, carrying up to 26 tons of payload at 470 knots, and performing missions ranging from troop transport to humanitarian relief on unpaved runways.
