A Calligraphic Tribute by Grandmaster Liu Chien to President Han Kuo-yu

一、前言｜Preface

古代岳飛以忠勇報國，為民族立心；

現代韓國瑜院長以真誠、正氣與幽默，承續中華民族精神，

以實際行動愛民、護國、守根，深受海內外同胞敬仰。

In ancient times, General Yue Fei served his nation with loyalty and valor, embodying the heart of the Chinese spirit.

In modern times, President Han Kuo-yu continues this legacy through sincerity, integrity, and wisdom—

loving the people, protecting the nation, and preserving cultural roots, earning deep respect from compatriots around the world.

韓院長常言：

「中華民國是我們的國，

美麗台灣是我們的家，

中華文化是我們的根，

自由民主是我們的寶。」

President Han often proclaims:

“The Republic of China is our nation,

Beautiful Taiwan is our home,

Chinese culture is our root,

And freedom and democracy are our treasures.”

此語真誠溫厚，

宛如岳飛〈滿江紅〉中「壯志饑餐胡虜肉，笑談渴飲匈奴血」之氣節，

皆以血脈相承之信念，書寫出一代中華之魂。

These words carry the same sincerity and depth as Yue Fei’s immortal lines:

“With fierce will I eat the enemy’s flesh in hunger,

and laugh as I drink their blood in thirst.”

Both reflect an unbroken lineage of courage and conviction—

the very soul of Chinese civilization.二、書法正文｜Calligraphic Text

岳飛〈滿江紅〉原文：

怒髮衝冠，憑欄處、瀟瀟雨歇。

抬望眼、仰天長嘯，壯懷激烈。

三十功名塵與土，八千里路雲和月。

莫等閒、白了少年頭，空悲切。

靖康恥，猶未雪；臣子恨，何時滅？

駕長車踏破，賀蘭山缺。

壯志饑餐胡虜肉，笑談渴飲匈奴血。

待從頭、收拾舊山河，朝天闕。

English Translation:

With hair bristling in wrath beneath my helmet,

I lean on the rail as rain ceases to fall.

I lift my gaze and cry out to Heaven—

My heart burns with boundless passion.

My thirty years of fame are dust and dirt;

Eight thousand miles I’ve traveled beneath clouds and moon.

Let not youth fade away in vain regret!

The shame of Jingkang still unavenged,

The loyal heart’s grief—when shall it end?

I’ll drive my chariot to crush Helan’s peaks;

In hunger, feast on the foe’s flesh,

In thirst, drink their blood with laughter.

Then we shall reclaim our lost mountains and rivers,

And bow before Heaven’s gate.

三、啟示篇｜Revelation

岳飛以筆寫忠，劉騫以書弘道。

書道之筆，不僅是藝術之筆，更是民族之魂。

當韓院長以仁政安民、以真心感人，

正如書道之「心正筆正」，

以筆化道、以道化人。

Yue Fei wrote his loyalty with the sword;

Liu Chien expresses hers with the brush.

The brush of calligraphy is not merely an artistic tool—

it is the vessel of a nation’s soul.

President Han, through benevolent governance and heartfelt sincerity,

embodies the same principle of “a righteous heart guiding a righteous brush,”

using virtue to inspire, and humanity to transform.

四、志語結章｜Final Dedication

是以，劉騫理事長以書立志，以道化人，

願以此書法獻給韓國瑜院長，

寄託中華書道人共同的志願——

為天地立心，

為生民立命，

為往聖繼絕學，

為萬世開太平。

Thus, Grandmaster Liu Chien, with heart and brush as one,

dedicates this calligraphy to President Han Kuo-yu,

entrusting it with the eternal vow shared by all Chinese calligraphers and sages—

To establish the heart for Heaven and Earth,

To secure the destiny for the people,

To continue the wisdom of the ancient sages,

And to bring peace to all generations.
