Little water monitors learn to love and protect water
Water pollution can be divided into two types: natural and man-made. Natural pollution refers to the waste from houses, streets, and ditches washed away in rainstorms. Man-made pollution can be divided into domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. Once wastewater is discharged into a river without treatment, it will affect the ecology of the river, turning it from ordinary river water into stagnant water and then into eutrophic water, often adversely affecting the lives of local people.
Taichung Little Water Monitors Experience Camp (台中小小水質監測員體驗營) uses simple tools and engaging hands-on experimental activities to help participating students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of water quality and water pollution. It is hoped that the training camp will motivate young people to take water pollution more seriously in the future and help fight to protect the precious water resources around them.
