UK Injects New Funding to Accelerate Dreadnought-Class Construction

英國首相柏南宣布，政府將投入高達84億英鎊（約新臺幣3642億元），持續推動新一代「無畏級」（Dreadnought-class）核動力彈道飛彈潛艦建造計畫，以確保建造進度並維持英國海基核嚇阻能力。此舉也反映英國持續推動戰略核武現代化，確保未來數十年的持續海上嚇阻（Continuous At-Sea Deterrence, CASD）能力。

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced an additional investment of up to £8.4 billion to continue construction of the Royal Navy's next-generation Dreadnought-class ballistic missile submarines. The funding is intended to keep the program on schedule while preserving the United Kingdom's sea-based nuclear deterrent and ensuring the long-term effectiveness of its Continuous At-Sea Deterrence (CASD) strategy.

Lead Boat Moves Toward Sea Trials as Three Submarines Progress

根據英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，其中59億英鎊將提供給主承包商貝宜系統（BAE Systems），用於完成首艘「無畏號」（HMS Dreadnought）的後續建造工程並展開海上測試，同時持續推進二號艦「勇士號」（HMS Valiant）及三號艦「厭戰號」（HMS Warspite）的建造作業。其餘資金則將投入供應鏈發展、基礎設施升級及相關配套建設，以支援整體計畫推進。

According to the BBC, £5.9 billion of the package will be allocated to prime contractor BAE Systems to complete construction of HMS Dreadnought and prepare the submarine for sea trials, while continuing work on the second and third boats, HMS Valiant and HMS Warspite. The remaining funding will be invested in supply chain development, infrastructure upgrades, and industrial facilities supporting the overall program.

無畏級潛艦水下排水量約1萬7500噸，全長154公尺，耐壓殼最大直徑達13.1公尺，是英國皇家海軍歷來建造最大的潛艦。新艦採用高度電力化與現代化設計，不僅提升艦上生活環境，也強化長時間水下巡弋能力。武裝方面，除配備4具533公厘魚雷發射管，可發射英國自製「旗魚」（Spearfish）重型魚雷外，還將搭載12枚美製UGM-133 Trident II（三叉戟II）潛射彈道飛彈，擔負英國戰略核反擊任務。

The Dreadnought-class has a submerged displacement of approximately 17,500 tons, measures 154 meters in length, and features a pressure hull diameter of 13.1 meters, making it the largest submarine ever built for the Royal Navy. Designed with advanced electric systems and improved onboard accommodations, the class is optimized for extended underwater patrols. Each submarine will be armed with four 533 mm torpedo tubes capable of firing the Spearfish heavyweight torpedo, while carrying 12 UGM-133 Trident II submarine-launched ballistic missiles to provide the UK's strategic nuclear strike capability.

Dreadnought-Class to Replace Vanguard Fleet in the 2030s

英國皇家海軍表示，現役最老的「先鋒號」（HMS Vanguard）彈道飛彈潛艦已服役超過33年，艦隊正逐步接近換裝時程。其中首艘無畏級「無畏號」已於去年3月完成龍骨鋪設，目前建造工程持續推進，預計於2030年代初陸續接替先鋒級艦隊，維持英國全天候海基核嚇阻能力，因應未來安全與戰略環境挑戰。

The Royal Navy noted that HMS Vanguard, the oldest of the current Vanguard-class ballistic missile submarines, has been in service for more than 33 years and is approaching the end of its operational life. HMS Dreadnought completed keel laying in March last year and continues to advance through construction. The new class is expected to begin replacing the Vanguard fleet in the early 2030s, ensuring the United Kingdom maintains an uninterrupted sea-based nuclear deterrent against future strategic threats.
