美國航太與國防企業Redwire Corporation宣布，將向台灣海洋委員會海巡署提供具備垂直起降（VTOL）能力的Penguin Mk2.5戰術無人機，支援海上巡防、情報監視偵察（ISR）及執法等任務，進一步提升台灣沿岸與近海的持續監控能力。

台灣彩光光學下單　納入海上安全與國防韌性規劃

軍事新聞網站《The Drone Front》報導，Redwire已獲得合約，將向台灣海巡署供應Penguin Mk2.5 VTOL戰術無人機。

Military news outlet The Drone Front reported that Redwire Corporation has secured a contract to supply Penguin Mk2.5 vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) tactical unmanned aircraft to Taiwan’s Coast Guard Administration (CGA).

此項採購案由台中**台灣彩光光學（Taiwan Color Optics）**負責下單，旨在支援更複雜的海上任務，並配合政府整體海上安全與國防韌性規劃。

The procurement was placed by Taiwan Color Optics, based in Taichung, to support increasingly complex maritime missions and align with Taiwan’s broader maritime security and defense resilience strategy.

VTOL設計搭配EO／IR酬載　執行全天候ISR任務

Redwire表示，Penguin Mk2.5具備垂直起降能力，可在有限空間及具威脅環境中快速部署，並搭載光電（EO）及紅外線（IR）酬載，可執行長時間監視、海上執法及小型目標追蹤等任務。

According to Redwire, the Penguin Mk2.5 features VTOL capability, enabling rapid deployment from confined or contested environments. Equipped with electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) payloads, it is designed for persistent surveillance, maritime law enforcement, and tracking of small targets.

滯空逾12小時　通訊距離達180公里

Penguin Mk2.5機身長約2公尺、翼展4公尺，最大起飛重量41公斤，最高飛行速度超過65節（約120公里／小時），最高飛行高度達4,000公尺，續航時間超過12小時，並採用安全加密通訊鏈路，最遠通訊距離可達180公里。

The Penguin Mk2.5 measures approximately 2 meters in length with a 4-meter wingspan and has a maximum takeoff weight of 41 kilograms. It can fly at speeds exceeding 65 knots (120 km/h), operate at altitudes up to 4,000 meters, remain airborne for more than 12 hours, and features an encrypted communications link with a maximum operating range of 180 kilometers (112 miles).

Redwire表示，該系統納入現有海巡作業體系後，可顯著提升台灣沿海及近岸海域的持續監控能力，強化海域防衛與海上態勢掌握。

Redwire stated that integrating the system into Taiwan’s existing maritime operations will significantly enhance persistent surveillance of coastal and nearshore waters, improving maritime security and domain awareness.

已獲美軍與北約多項合約　持續擴展國防市場

Penguin Mk2.5共同總裁兼首席成長官Josh Stinson表示，該型VTOL無人機已在實際部署中證明具備全天候監控及先進ISR能力，尤其適合執行海岸線與海上活動監控任務，可望成為提升台灣海岸防衛能力的重要平台。

Josh Stinson, Co-President and Chief Growth Officer of Penguin Mk2.5, said the VTOL unmanned aircraft has already demonstrated its ability to conduct all-weather surveillance and advanced ISR missions in operational deployments, making it well suited to enhance Taiwan’s coastal security.

Redwire指出，台灣海巡署採購案是公司近期取得的多項國防合約之一。近年來，Redwire已陸續獲得美國陸軍1,500萬美元採購案、美國海軍陸戰隊2,000萬美元合約，以及今年5月與**北約（NATO）**簽署多年期合作協議，顯示其軍用無人機產品正逐步獲得美國及北約體系採用。

The Taiwan Coast Guard contract is one of several recent defense awards secured by Redwire. In recent years, the company has won a US Army contract worth $15 million, a US Marine Corps contract valued at $20 million, and signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with NATO in May, highlighting the growing adoption of its unmanned systems by the US military and NATO partners.
