台美合作推進無人作戰 強化海上自主化能力

Taiwan and US Firms Team Up to Advance Autonomous Maritime Warfare

台灣無人機製造商雷虎科技13日宣布，已與美國國防科技公司Shield AI簽署合作備忘錄（MOU），將把Shield AI核心自主化軟體「Hivemind」整合至雷虎旗下無人系統產品，首波將優先導入「海鯊號」無人艇平台，強化台灣海上自主作戰能力。

Taiwanese drone manufacturer 雷虎科技 announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with US defense technology firm Shield AI to integrate Shield AI’s flagship autonomous software “Hivemind” into Thunder Tiger’s unmanned systems portfolio, with the first application focusing on the Sea Shark unmanned surface vessel platform.

雷虎表示，Hivemind未來將成為海鯊號無人艇的AI自主駕駛核心，預計今年夏季進行實地展示，驗證無人艇在真實海域環境中的自主導航、應變與任務執行能力。

Thunder Tiger stated that Hivemind will serve as the AI autonomy core for the Sea Shark USV, with a live demonstration planned this summer to showcase autonomous navigation, response handling, and mission execution capabilities in real maritime conditions.

分階段驗證 打造多系統協同作戰群

Step-by-Step Validation to Build Collaborative Unmanned Fleets

根據規劃，雙方將以分階段方式推進系統整合，包括模擬測試（Simulation-based Testing）、硬體迴路整合（Hardware-in-the-loop Integration）以及實際載具測試（Live Vehicle Testing），逐步驗證自主化系統於不同平台間的協同運作能力。

According to the cooperation roadmap, the two companies will conduct phased integration and verification efforts, including simulation-based testing, hardware-in-the-loop integration, and live vehicle testing to validate coordinated autonomous operations across different platforms.

強調不對稱作戰 深化台灣戰略布局

Focus on Asymmetric Warfare and Taiwan Defense Integration

曾國光表示，此次合作將有助於台灣國防部建立具備不對稱作戰能力的自主化系統，藉此提升嚇阻能力與降低衝突風險，也是Shield AI深化台灣戰略布局的重要一步。

Brandon Tseng stated that the partnership will help Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense build autonomous systems suited for asymmetric warfare, enhancing deterrence and reducing the risk of conflict, while also representing a major step in Shield AI’s broader Taiwan strategy.

雷虎董事暨總經理蘇聖傑則表示，導入Hivemind後，雷虎無人平台將具備更高層級的自主決策能力，可獨立執行複雜任務，並與其他載具組成協同作戰團隊。

Meanwhile, 蘇聖傑 said that integrating Hivemind will significantly improve the autonomous decision-making capability of Thunder Tiger’s unmanned platforms, enabling them to independently perform complex missions and cooperate with other systems as part of coordinated operational teams.

雷虎指出，本次合作建立於Shield AI既有在台專案基礎之上，反映該公司持續深化在台布局，包括於台北101設立辦公室，並與台灣本地產業共同推動AI自主無人系統研發、部署與後續維運。

Thunder Tiger noted that this cooperation builds upon Shield AI’s existing projects in Taiwan and reflects the company’s expanding presence on the island, including establishing an office in 台北101 and partnering with local industries to develop, deploy, and sustain AI-enabled autonomous defense systems.
