Boeing has delivered the third satellite in the ViaSat-3 constellation (VS-3 F3) to Viasat. Built on Boeing’s high-power 702MP+ platform and integrated at its El Segundo, California facility, the satellite will provide efficient and flexible bandwidth deployment across the Asia-Pacific region, serving commercial aviation, defense, and high-density connectivity markets.

Following integration and testing, the satellite has been delivered to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, where Boeing and Viasat teams will conduct pre-launch preparations ahead of a SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch. This milestone marks the completion of Boeing’s production and integration work for VS-3 F3.

The 702MP+ platform, derived from Boeing’s proven 702 family, has been enhanced with larger solar arrays, higher-capacity batteries, upgraded electronics, and deployable radiators to handle the thermal demands of high-power payloads while maintaining reliability and flexibility.
全電推進與姿態控制強化 提升任務精準度
All-Electric Propulsion and Enhanced Control Improve Precision
該平台亦採用全電推進系統,延續702SP技術基礎,並進一步擴展至大型702MP級別;同時強化結構與姿態控制能力,使衛星即使在大型天線與反射器配置下,仍能維持高精度指向能力。
The platform incorporates all-electric propulsion based on the 702SP heritage, extended into the larger 702MP class. Structural and attitude-control enhancements ensure precise pointing performance despite large reflectors and flexible configurations.
衛星星系布局完成 覆蓋全球三大區域
Constellation Expands to Global Coverage
目前ViaSat-3星系中,VS-3 F1已提供商用航空連線服務,VS-3 F2正逐步投入美洲地區運作;隨著VS-3 F3部署,將進一步拓展至亞太地區,實現全球三大區域的通訊覆蓋。
Within the ViaSat-3 constellation, VS-3 F1 is already supporting commercial airline connectivity, while VS-3 F2 is progressing toward service over the Americas. The addition of VS-3 F3 will extend coverage to the Asia-Pacific region, completing global connectivity across three major regions.
