The sixth annual Adaptive Sports Day, organized by the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, was held at Taoyuan Municipal Taoyuan Special School, hundreds of children with disabilities joined in the sports day. Teachers and students from a special education school in Hong Kong also joined the event.

The event focused not on speed but on participation and experience. On the course, disabilities require a variety of adaptive equipment such as, pedaled tricycles, handcycles, and wheelchairs etc, Also seeing that, parents pushed wheelchairs alongside their children to cross the finish line.

The organizer also prepared an interactive station, including a gliding simulator, gave participants with different physical abilities the chance to try new movements. Families and children navigated the challenges in their own ways, and the day provided an opportunity for them to experience movement together.

From Taoyuan to Hong Kong, the event highlighted how adaptive equipment allows people of varying abilities to take part in sports and activities on equal terms.
