彰化市與美國托倫斯攜手推動無人機合作　打造跨國智慧城市聯盟!

為推動智慧城市與創新產業國際交流，彰化市政府特派市政顧問黃光彩博士，赴美國友好城市托倫斯市進行產業合作會談，重點聚焦於無人機技術的應用與發展。
To strengthen smart city innovation and international industry ties, Changhua City dispatched municipal advisor Dr. Kuang-Tsai Huang to Torrance, California, for official talks centered on advancing drone technology cooperation.

此次會談由托倫斯市市長陳光豪（George Chen）親自接待，雙方就無人機應用於城市管理、公共安全與產業發展等面向展開深入討論，為台美城市科技合作奠定基礎。
Torrance Mayor George Chen welcomed Dr. Huang and discussed integrating drones into urban management, public safety, and industry development—laying the foundation for Taiwan–U.S. municipal tech partnerships.

彰化市長林世賢表示，自2023年締結友好城市以來，雙方多次互訪並於2024年合辦產業論壇，已建立良好互信基礎。此次更進一步針對無人機產業尋求實質合作機會。
Mayor Lin Shih-Hsien noted that since formalizing their sister-city relationship in 2023, Changhua and Torrance have built a strong foundation of mutual trust, now aiming to deepen ties through practical drone industry collaboration.

托倫斯市位處洛杉磯郡南灣，是科技與製造重鎮。陳光豪市長對雙方共建無人機應用模式表示高度期待，盼提升城市治理效率並促進產業交流。
Located in L.A. County’s South Bay, Torrance is a hub for tech and manufacturing. Mayor Chen expressed strong interest in developing joint drone applications to improve city operations and industry engagement.

黃光彩博士則指出，本次交流展現雙方對科技創新與永續發展的共同關注，透過無人機為切入點，探討未來更廣泛的台美科技合作模式。
Dr. Huang emphasized that both cities share a commitment to innovation and sustainability. Drones serve as a starting point for exploring broader Taiwan–U.S. collaboration in smart technology ecosystems.

此次城市級合作亦被視為台美深化智慧城市與產業連結的重要一步，不僅提升城市治理品質，也為未來跨國合作平台鋪路。
The initiative marks a strategic step in enhancing Taiwan–U.S. smart city cooperation, opening doors for expanded international industry exchange and joint innovation platforms.
