宜蘭礁溪除了有清澈的溫泉水以外，也是個看日出的好地方。龜山島剛好是日出的位置，雲彩和光影的變幻，令人著迷。黃昏同樣美麗。大樓屋頂、跑馬古道、或佛光大學，都是遠眺龜山島的好地點，只是若要進入佛光大學校區，必須攜帶身份證件。
