Taiwanese Contemporary Artist Adia Yang Appears in Times Square, New York
During the Lunar New Year, Adia Yang, a contemporary artist from Taiwan, appeared on a large digital screen in Times Square, sending New Year greetings to global Chinese communities and introducing Taiwanese contemporary art to an international audience.
The broadcast featured the theme “World Chinese Role Model and Renowned Artist Adia Yang Extends Lunar New Year Wishes”, presenting the artist’s image and selected works. Against the vibrant nighttime landscape of Times Square, the presentation offered a quiet and reflective cultural moment, emphasizing art as a universal language beyond commercial spectacle.
Established in 2003, the World Chinese Venture Model Association is a nonprofit organization that recognizes positive contributions and cultural influence within global Chinese communities. Its mission focuses on role modeling, social responsibility, and cultural values. This New Year presentation at a major international landmark symbolized a gentle cultural connection within the global urban landscape.
Adia Yang’s artistic practice centers on inner awareness and spiritual perception, often described as works inspired by the “third eye.” Through painting and mixed media, she explores inner landscapes shaped by lived experience, consciousness, and personal reflection, positioning her work within a distinct contemporary art discourse.
This appearance in New York was not only an artistic exposure, but also a cross-cultural seasonal greeting—offering a moment of connection between Eastern cultural sensibility and a global audience.
