佛誕節 薩嘎達瓦
2025年6月11日薩嘎達瓦節，慶祝喬達摩佛陀。
在台北達賴喇嘛宗教基金會的監督下，台灣首次在藏歷六月十一日（藏歷四月十五）吉日舉辦薩嘎達瓦法會。此活動由國際台灣藏傳佛教研究會及國際台灣藏傳佛教傳承協會共同主辦，玄奘大學藏傳佛教研究中心及台灣西藏協會為協辦單位。舉辦如此吉祥活動的核心動機是為了紀念佛陀釋迦牟尼在藏歷四月的成道活動。藏歷四月，藏語稱為薩嘎達瓦，意為“功德月”，是藏傳佛教中一個高度神聖的月份，紀念佛陀釋迦牟尼的誕生、成道和涅槃。薩嘎達瓦的主要內容包括紀念佛陀釋迦牟尼的一生，增加功德，修行和儀式，包括供養寺廟和寺廟、放生（拯救動物免遭屠殺）和素食。
這場吉祥活動在夏爾巴秋嘉仁波切和昆蒂林仁波切以及住持和僧伽團體的見證下舉行。來自各行各業的民眾以善念參與其中，彰顯了這個節日的意義。

2025 6/11 Saga Dawa festival celebration of Gautama Buddha.
For the first time in Taiwan, Under the supervision of the Dalai Lama religious foundation at Taipei, Saga Dawa festival celebration held on the auspicious June 11th (The 15th day of the fourth month of the Tibetan Lunar Calander. The International Taiwan Tibetan Buddhist research association and the International Taiwan Tibetan Dharma lineage association jointly organized the event, the Xuanzang university of Tibetan Buddhist research center and the Tibetan association in Taiwan served as co-organizing unit. The core motivation of organizing such an auspicious event is to recall the enlightened activities of Buddha Sakyamuni observed during the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar, in Tibetan is called Saga Dawa “Month of Merits,” is a highly and sacred month in Tibetan Buddhism, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and Parinirvana (passing away) of Buddha Sakyamuni. The key aspects of Saga Dawa such as the commemoration of Buddha Sakyamuni’s life. Increased merits for actions. Practices and rituals, including making offerings to monasteries and temples, engaging in life release (saving animals from slaughter) and adopting vegetarian meals.
The auspicious event was conferred with the presence of Sherpa Chogyal Rinpoche and Kunti Ling Rinpoche along with abbots and the sangha group. The participation of the public with the virtuous motivation from all works of life depicts the significance of the festival.
Tibetan cultural day has been observed simultaneously by displaying Tibetan Buddhist ritual dance (Cham). The ritual dance is deeply rooted in Vajrayana Buddhist rituals and ceremonies; it unfolds from within a state of meditation. It is a form of meditation for both the performer and audience, and it is seen as an offering to the deities. Tibetan song performance, Tibetan prayer offering incense. Tibetan cuisine Laphing, is a spicy cold plain flour noodle dish garnished with rich ingredients. Display of Tibetan Medical and Astro institute’s products. The takeaway of such an auspicious occasion is give oneself an opportunity to become a kind hearted and generous person.
