RAF’s “StormShroud” Drone Enters Service, Reinforcing the UK’s Edge in Electronic Warfare

英國皇家空軍悄悄迎來一項電戰戰力的新突破。代號「暴風之罩」（StormShroud）的新型無人機，近期正式編入第216中隊，成為皇家空軍空中電戰部隊的新成員。

The UK Royal Air Force (RAF) has officially inducted the StormShroud unmanned aerial system (UAS) into its ranks, marking a milestone in its pursuit of electronic warfare dominance. Designed for seamless manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T), this drone aims to enhance survivability and lethality across complex air operations.

這項無人機系統是以葡萄牙Tekever公司開發的AR3型無人機為基礎，經過大幅改裝後誕生。其核心能力在於攜帶由李奧納多公司英國分部研發的「BriteStorm」電戰酬載，不僅能有效干擾敵方雷達，還能釋放虛假目標，進行電子欺敵與防空壓制。

Equipped with BriteStorm, a cutting-edge EW payload from Leonardo UK, the drone can jam enemy radar systems, spoof signals, and generate decoys to mislead adversary sensors—all while working in tandem with manned aircraft like the F-35B and Typhoon fighters.

報導指出，俄烏戰爭凸顯電磁頻譜戰的重要性，英國加速推動「自主協作平台（ACP）」計畫，致力於打造具備自主判斷與多機協同能力的戰術無人機，並快速布署於作戰一線。

The ongoing war in Ukraine has showcased the decisive role of electronic warfare on the battlefield. In response, the UK’s Autonomous Collaborative Platform (ACP) initiative seeks to rapidly field drones capable of operating autonomously and supporting frontline missions in real time.

「AR3」無人機早已在烏克蘭戰場累積超過萬小時實戰經驗，執行偵察與情報蒐集任務，其高度可靠性讓英國決定以其為平台，發展出性能更進階的StormShroud版本。

With more than 10,000 operational flight hours logged in Ukraine, the AR3 platform has proven its battlefield resilience. Its track record laid the foundation for StormShroud, which is now expected to bolster the RAF’s ability to dominate the skies through precise, persistent EW capabilities.

皇家空軍強調，StormShroud的服役不僅提升電戰能量，更是英國空中作戰邁向「智能化、自主化」的重要一步，未來將持續深化與F-35B等先進戰機的協同作戰演練，朝向真正的MUM-T戰力發展。

The RAF has positioned StormShroud not merely as a support asset, but as a strategic leap toward smart warfare. As future exercises integrate the drone with fifth-generation fighters, the UK moves closer to realizing its full manned-unmanned combat vision.
