緬甸軍方宣布暫時停火以協助地震救援

2025年3月28日，緬甸發生7.7級強烈地震，造成超過3,000人死亡，4,500多人受傷，並導致廣泛的基礎設施損毀。 

為了協助救援行動，緬甸軍方於4月2日透過國營電視台MRTV宣布，將暫時停火至4月22日，以示對受災民眾的關懷。 

反對派組織的回應

在軍方宣布停火之前，反對派武裝組織，包括「人民防衛軍」（People’s Defense Force）和「三兄弟聯盟」（Three Brotherhood Alliance），已單方面宣布暫時停火，以促進人道主義救援工作。 

救援工作的挑戰

儘管停火協議生效，救援人員仍面臨嚴峻挑戰。地震摧毀了許多地區的基礎設施，通訊中斷，許多災區難以進入。此外，持續的內部衝突使得救援行動更加複雜。

Myanmar Military Declares Temporary Ceasefire to Assist Earthquake Relief

On March 28, 2025, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, resulting in over 3,000 deaths and more than 4,500 injuries, causing widespread infrastructure damage. 

In response, on April 2, the Myanmar military announced via state television MRTV a temporary ceasefire until April 22 to show compassion for those affected by the disaster. 

Response from Opposition Groups

Prior to the military’s announcement, opposition armed groups, including the People’s Defense Force and the Three Brotherhood Alliance, had unilaterally declared temporary ceasefires to facilitate humanitarian efforts. 

Challenges in Relief Efforts

Despite the ceasefire agreements, relief workers face significant challenges. The earthquake has destroyed infrastructure, disrupted communications, and rendered many areas inaccessible. Additionally, ongoing internal conflicts have further complicated relief operations.
