A citizen journalist death in 2025- Su Hui-Kuo (1953-2025)

“My name is Su Hui- Kuo, I am 73, I am glad that I can still learn Even though I am at this age.” said by Su when he was still alive.

Su began his citizen journalism journey through a program at Taoyuan Community College. his iconic face and voices left a deep impression on fellow citizen journalists and classmates.

After he passed away, his classmate recall that, he loves to shared knowledge about tea culture, video editing techniques, and creative experience during the class. Outside the classroom, he also spent time on guided students in table tennis and video editing which became a trusted learning companion to fellows.

Teachers from community college also appreciate Su’s strong self-learning ability, positive attitude, and his consistent support of collaborative learning.

Discipline was a guiding principle throughout Su’s life. Even after retiring from the Aviation Police Bureau, he maintained a structured routine, exercising and socializing during the day, and dedicating nights to creative work and learning.

Su’s passing leaves behind more than memories. His spirit of curiosity, generosity, and dedication continues to inspire fellow citizen journalists, serving as a lasting example of passion for learning and life.

「我是蘇輝國，今年73歲了，能在這個年紀繼續學習，是一件很幸福的事。」這句話，道盡了蘇輝國對生命與學習的熱愛。公民記者們在桃園社大的「社區故事我報導」課程初識蘇輝國，他洪亮嗓音與沉穩氣勢，讓人印象深刻，也帶著幾分敬畏。

隨著相處日深，大家看見他溫暖細膩的一面。課堂上，他慷慨分享茶道文化、影音剪輯技巧與創作經驗；課後，更耐心指導同學打乒乓球、學剪輯，成為大家信賴的學習夥伴。老師也讚許他自學能力強、樂於分享，始終以行動支持共學精神。

自航警局退休後，蘇輝國依然自律充實，白天運動交友，夜晚學習創作，退休二十多年從未讓生活停擺。如今他瀟灑離去，留下的，是公民記者熱忱不滅的身影，以及「活到老、學到老」最真實動人的典範。
