Curtiss-Wright announced its selection by American Rheinmetall to provide Turret Drive Stabilization Systems (TDSS) for the prototype phase of the U.S. Army’s XM30 Combat Vehicle program, which has advanced to Milestone B of the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) stage.

“Our modular stabilization solution ensures precise targeting and superior control across rugged terrain,” said Lynn Bamford, Chair and CEO of Curtiss-Wright. “It reduces program risk while delivering critical capabilities to the warfighter.”

The TDSS enhances targeting accuracy and survivability in high-mobility combat operations. Eight XM30 prototype vehicles will be built by American Rheinmetall for testing ahead of a 2027 down-select.
