宜蘭山海之美孕育了很多的藝術家，劉哲川是從小在宜蘭長大ê囝仔，16歲遠赴德國音樂學院專精學習。如今哲川已完成了大提琴與室內音樂的雙碩士學位。 

哲川是一位年輕的音樂家，透過大提琴的旋律 表達自然並訴說故事。這是到了德國，才深深的體會了，家鄉這片土地給了哲川最初對音樂的感動。 音樂是他和家鄉心連心的連結，那是雨聲、蟲鳴、鳥叫、更是親情的牽盼。

The beauty of Yilan’s mountains and ocean has nurtured many artists. Liu Zhe-Chuan grew up in Yilan, and at 16, he went to study at a music academy in Germany. Where he earned dual master’s degrees in cello and chamber music. He is a young musician who express the nature and tells stories through the melody of his cello. It was only after arriving in Germany that he has realized. This homeland offered Zhe-Chuan his first inspiration for music. Music is the heartfelt bond between him and his homeland, in the sound of rain, the songs of birds, and the longing of family ties.
