Xinpu Elementary School, located in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, has partnered with the Hsinchu Forest District Office of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency to successfully restore endangered plant species on its campus—showcasing the power of environmental education and a deep commitment to ecological preservation.

Teachers, students, and local residents have planted rare and endangered species such as Echinops grijsii, Aster shimadae, Dendranthema lavandulifolium var. tomentellum, and Syneilesis intermedia around the school grounds and the nearby Lingding Fude Temple. Their efforts go beyond conservation—they offer students firsthand experience of sustainability’s importance.

This restoration project is set to become a model for local ecological education, ensuring that precious natural resources are passed on to future generations and that green life continues to thrive on this land.
