Looking after one’s own – A theatrical group’s dream

文字-A A +A

Our Theatre (阮劇團) was formed by a group of Chiayi (嘉義) students who used to come together to practice in the summer and winter vacations. The majority of members in the theatre troupe became acquainted with the magic of drama while studying in high school, an experience that left a lasting impression.

Upon graduation, one-by-one, members made their way back to their hometown with the hope of introducing the magic of theatre to even more Chiayi students. Transcending the normal form of drama, Our Theatre has incorporated interactive children’s activities into the drama plot. The troupe hopes to encourage the enthusiastic participation of even more local residents in drama, and plant seeds of art and culture in the hearts of people for generations to come.
