在去年(2011)報導過在新竹縣橫山鄉, 有關幫青蛙過馬路的事情, 今年(2012)隨著護蛙季節的展開, 跟著民眾一起實地的參加了, 保護青蛙過馬路的活動, 了解一下關心我們台灣環境生態的民眾, 真正參予的過程.
從下午5:00開始, 熱心民眾陸陸續續的到達護蛙地點, 在經過護蛙總領隊和各區領隊的解說後, 大家分區的巡守青蛙過馬路, 中間也穿插著看到不同野生生物的驚奇和感動, 雖然參加的民眾很多, 對青蛙的環境有一些干擾, 但是透過這樣的過程和宣導, 也幫更多的家庭, 了解到台灣生態的魅力, 進而更願意保護養育這片土地
