Qatar’s Military Expansion: 8 MQ-9B Drones Equipped with Precision Weaponry

美國國務院近日正式批准向卡達出售8架MQ-9B「空中衛士」無人機，此案已進入國會通知程序，總金額高達19.6億美元。
The U.S. State Department recently approved the sale of eight MQ-9B "SkyGuardian" drones to Qatar, initiating the congressional notification process. The deal is valued at $1.96 billion.

這批無人機不僅具備強大的情報、監視與偵察（ISR）能力，更搭載GBU-38/54聯合直攻彈藥（JDAM）、AGM-114R2「地獄火II」飛彈，以及AN/APY-8「山貓」合成孔徑雷達，使其可執行高精度打擊任務。
These drones are not only equipped with advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities but also feature GBU-38/54 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), AGM-114R2 Hellfire II missiles, and the AN/APY-8 "Lynx" Synthetic Aperture Radar for precision strike missions.

分析認為，這批MQ-9B將強化卡達的防空與偵察能力，並在中東區域安全局勢中發揮更大作用。
Analysts suggest that these MQ-9Bs will significantly enhance Qatar's air defense and reconnaissance capabilities, playing a crucial role in regional security dynamics.

此外，我國採購的4架MQ-9B無人機將於2026至2027年間分批交付，提升我國長程偵察能力。
Meanwhile, Taiwan’s purchase of four MQ-9B drones is set for phased delivery between 2026 and 2027, strengthening its long-range surveillance capabilities.
