Uncoordinated Government Engineering Project Creates Great Danger for Villagers

Unfortunately Alishan District is administered by a large number of uncoordinated and disharmonious government departments, often pushing the proverbial ball of responsibility from department to department-a shortcoming that has been criticized for a very long time.  Recently, once more due to a lack of coordination between these government departments, and not until near completion of a waterway engineering project, did fundamental faults in the design come to light.  This lack of communication has created a situation that could cause serious flooding in the local village below the engineering project raising great concern in local residents. The nonchalant and unconcerned attitude of the relevant government departments in response to the findings has further disappointed villagers.

阿里山原鄉轄區廣，管理單位也相對多，但各自為政互不協調，遇上事情就互推責任，這是長久以來所詬病的缺失。最近野溪整治工程接近完工，要設置穿越公路的導水函管，卻遲遲未見相關單位來關心會勘，工程銜接不上，要是大水一來，勢必還是會將水排入社區大排，汛期又要來了，族人非常擔憂造成二度傷害。中央單位的老大心態，從來不與地方溝通，更令人寒心。
