美國United States Marine Corps27日宣布,頒發價值1550萬美元合約,由Sikorsky與Robinson Unmanned合作,研發新型補給專用自主無人旋翼機。
The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded a $15.5 million contract to Sikorsky and Robinson Unmanned to jointly develop a new autonomous unmanned rotorcraft for logistics resupply missions.

The program requires the aircraft to carry payloads between 1,300 and 2,500 pounds (589–1,133 kg), operate within a 100-nautical-mile (185 km) radius, and be controlled via handheld digital devices.

根據規劃,兩家公司將在36個月內推出原型機,整合MATRIX autonomy system與Robinson R66改裝的無人貨運直升機平台,供陸戰隊測評。
The team will develop a prototype within 36 months by integrating Sikorsky’s MATRIX autonomy system with a modified Robinson R66 helicopter platform for evaluation.

此外,新創公司Near Earth Autonomy亦獲得合約,將以Bell 505為基礎打造競爭原型,參與後續測試。
