Belgian MQ-9Bs Deploy Overseas for NATO Maritime Surveillance

比利時空軍近日派遣2架MQ-9B SkyGuardian無人機前往義大利Naval Air Station Sigonella錫戈內拉基地，執行北約海上監視任務，這也是比利時MQ-9B自2025年9月服役以來，首次進行海外實戰部署。

The Belgian Air Force has deployed two MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones to Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily, Italy, for NATO maritime surveillance missions, marking the platform’s first overseas operational deployment since entering Belgian service in September 2025.

比利時國防部表示，這批MQ-9B將投入北約「沉默之矛」（Operation Silent Spear）行動，主要任務包括追蹤與監視可疑船隻、分析海上交通動態，以及觀察異常活動，以協助打擊非法移民與走私活動。

According to the Belgian Ministry of Defense, the MQ-9Bs are supporting NATO’s “Operation Silent Spear,” focusing on tracking suspicious vessels, monitoring maritime traffic, and identifying unusual activities to combat illegal migration and smuggling operations.

A400M協助運輸 衛星鏈路遠距操控

One Drone Airlifted by A400M, Both Controlled From Belgium

其中1架MQ-9B採拆解方式，由Airbus A400M Atlas運輸機空運至西西里島；另1架則直接自主飛行抵達部署地點。

One MQ-9B was disassembled and transported to Sicily aboard an Airbus A400M Atlas airlifter, while the second aircraft flew directly to the deployment location under its own power.

兩架無人機均由位於比利時Florennes Air Base佛洛雷訥空軍基地的控制中心，透過衛星通訊與超視距資料鏈（BLOS）進行遠端操控。

Both drones are remotely operated from the control center at Florennes Air Base via satellite communications and beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) data links.

報導指出，這次部署象徵比利時MQ-9B已正式脫離國內測試與驗證階段，開始投入北約實際戰備與區域安全任務。

The deployment symbolizes Belgium’s transition from domestic evaluation flights to real NATO operational and readiness missions.

比利時將擴充機隊 強化無人監偵能量

Belgium Plans to Expand MQ-9B Fleet

目前比利時空軍已接收3架MQ-9B，並計畫於2028年前將總數擴增至6架，以提升長程情監偵與持續空中監控能力。

The Belgian Air Force has currently received three MQ-9B drones and plans to expand the fleet to six aircraft by 2028 to strengthen long-range ISR and persistent surveillance capabilities.

軍方認為，引進更多大型無人系統，將有助於提升比利時在北約框架下的區域監控與聯合作戰能力。

Belgian defense officials believe additional unmanned systems will enhance the country’s regional surveillance and coalition operation capabilities within NATO.

未來將整合地獄火與Brimstone飛彈

Plans Underway to Arm MQ-9B Fleet

報導指出，比利時現役MQ-9B目前主要搭載光電與情報感測器執行情監偵任務，但軍方已規劃未來整合對地打擊武器。

Reports indicate that Belgium’s MQ-9Bs are currently configured primarily for ISR missions with electro-optical and surveillance sensors, but plans are underway to arm the drones with precision strike weapons.

其中，比利時已與MBDA簽署合約，採購「硫磺石」（Brimstone）飛彈；同時也規劃向Lockheed Martin採購AGM-114 Hellfire「地獄火」飛彈與相關設備。

Belgium has already signed an agreement with MBDA to acquire Brimstone missiles and is also planning to procure AGM-114 Hellfire Hellfire missiles and associated support equipment from Lockheed Martin.

此外，比利時還計畫整合GBU-54 Laser JDAM雷射導引聯合直攻彈藥（LJDAM），進一步拓展MQ-9B的多元作戰能力。

Belgium also intends to integrate the GBU-54 Laser JDAM Laser JDAM precision-guided munition to expand the MQ-9B’s multi-role operational capabilities.
