Australian Department of Defence於14日正式成立「海事自主系統部隊」（MASU），未來將統一操作多款無人載具，擴展周邊海域情監偵能力，並支援AUKUS「第二支柱」先進技術發展。

Australia’s Department of Defence officially established the Maritime Autonomous Systems Unit (MASU) on the 14th, which will operate multiple unmanned platforms to expand regional ISR capabilities and support AUKUS Pillar II advanced technology initiatives.

整合多型無人載具　從研發邁向實用化

Integration of Multiple Platforms Moves from Development to Deployment

根據《國防郵報》報導，澳洲在推動「SEA 1200」計畫後，已逐步完成多型自主系統的研發與整合，並將Ghost Shark超大型自主水下載具、「Speartooth大型AUV及「Bluebottle無人水面載具納入MASU統一管理。

Following the SEA 1200 program, Australia has advanced the development and integration of autonomous systems, including the Ghost Shark XL-AUV, Speartooth L-AUV, and Bluebottle USV, all now placed under MASU command.

此舉象徵相關技術已從概念驗證階段邁入實用化部署，可望擴大巡邏範圍、提升情報蒐集能力，同時降低人員風險與操作負擔。

This move marks a transition from concept validation to operational deployment, enabling expanded patrol coverage, improved intelligence gathering, and reduced personnel risk.

建構分散部署架構　強化遠距作戰能力

Distributed Deployment Enhances Long-Range Operations

Justin Sunderland准將指出，MASU將由指揮控制中心與多個部署單位組成，可靈活部署於前進基地或偏遠地區，由人員遠端操控，並與有人平台形成互補。

Commodore Justin Sunderland stated that MASU will consist of a command center and multiple deployment teams, capable of operating from forward bases or remote locations, with personnel conducting remote operations alongside crewed platforms.

此一架構將提升遠距投射能力，並強化「有人／無人協同」（MUM-T）作戰模式。

This structure will enhance long-range power projection and strengthen manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) capabilities.

支援AUKUS第二支柱　發展AI與水下戰力

Supporting AUKUS Pillar II with AI and Undersea Capabilities

MASU亦將依據AUKUS「第二支柱」計畫，推動人工智慧、水下系統等技術發展，並負責建立戰術、技術與程序（TTP）、執行系統測試與人員訓練。

MASU will also support AUKUS Pillar II by advancing artificial intelligence and undersea systems, while developing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), conducting system testing, and training personnel.

該單位將為澳洲、英國與美國提供新的不對稱作戰選項，強化聯合作戰能力。

The unit will provide new asymmetric warfare options for Australia, the UK, and the U.S., strengthening joint operational capabilities.

強調自主系統戰略地位　因應廣域海上挑戰

澳洲副總理兼國防部長Richard Marles強調，自主系統已成現代戰爭核心能力之一；面對廣闊海域與長距離挑戰，澳洲將持續加大投資，以強化國防戰力與區域安全。

Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles emphasized that autonomous systems are now central to modern warfare. Given Australia’s vast maritime domain, the government will continue investing in advanced technologies to strengthen defense capabilities and regional security.
