Taipei First Girls High School gains different vista through citizen journalism

PTS's PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform aims to advance civil society through citizen journalism by encouraging people to care more about public issues and local affairs. PeoPo also focuses on promoting the grassroots level so that school students can become a positive force for civil society in the future.

Teachers and students at Taipei First Girls High School may use civic reporting as part of class syllabus assignments, but students' understanding of the media and listening to different communities will benefit them for a lifetime. We thank the guidance of teachers at Taipei First Girls High School for planting the seeds of citizen journalism in civic education, which I believe will give students a different vision and feeling toward their futures.

北一女中參與公民新聞 看見不同世界

公共電視推動PeoPo公民新聞平台，目的是希望透過公民報導促進民眾去關心公共議題及在地事物，從而促進一個公民社會的實踐。特別在公民社會中，PeoPo同時也著重向下紮根的推動，畢竟這群校園裡的莘莘學子，在未來都能成為公民社會的力量。

透過北一女老師跟同學的分享，公民報導也許是同學高中時候的一個作業，但是同學對媒體的瞭解，對不同族群的傾聽，這個受益會是一輩子的。感謝老師來在北一女中的指導，在公民教育中紮下公民新聞的種子，相信在同學往後的人生都有不一樣的視野與感受。
