Medical student pursues sources of food security through agriculture

Young farmer Jiang Qi-feng (江啟峰) returned back to his hometown of Guangfu in Taichung to develop a business, while simultaneously pursuing his doctorate. Opting for a career in mushroom growing and aquaponics, Jiang Qi-feng’s choice is certainly different from the majority of young people today. 

Currently a student engaged in cancer research at university, Jiang Qi-feng hopes to reduce the incidence of cancer through providing a source of clean, non-toxic food. Although he only has a small production base at present, Jiang Qi-feng has already built his farm in Changhua’s Mt. Baiguo and very soon expects to be growing safe and healthy fruits and vegetables for all.

醫學生從農 追求食物的安全來源

在台中光復新村有一位青年農夫江啟峰，他一面在攻讀他的博士學位；一方面返鄉來創業。江啟峰的創業方向，跟時下年輕人有點不一樣。他選擇農業做為創業的方向，目前採用魚菜共生農法來生產蔬菜；並搭配種植菇類。

江啟峰在學校是做癌症的相關醫學研究，想要從食物來源降低癌症的發生。因此選擇了農業，想提供無毒的食物來源。目前雖然只有一個小小的生產基地，但江啟峰已經在彰化百果山興建他的農場；預計能有一分的農地來生產他的安心蔬果。
