Construction work on Banqiao MRT Circular Line

Construction work on the MRT Circular Line running through Banqiao on Wenhua Road has already been underway for one month. At the outset, the government promised to send someone to observe the traffic situation and make appropriate improvements. However, roads around the construction site currently display serious traffic congestion in peak hours and road users have complained that the only option left for traveling in the Toucheng direction is on an uneven, bumpy road – on which buses, scooters and bicycles all battle for space in a scene fraught with danger. It is obvious that Banqiao’s MRT Circular Line engineering project and the traffic conditions have a great deal of room for improvement.

捷運環狀線板橋文化路段施工至今已超過一個月，政府當初承諾會派人觀察交通狀況並適時做出改善。公民記者來到施工路段卻發現不僅尖峰時刻交通堵塞情況嚴重，甚至有民眾反應目前往土城方向僅剩的直行車道，道路凹凸不平。公民記者也直擊到公車、汽機車、腳踏車爭道，畫面險象環生。顯然捷運環狀線的工程以及板橋的交通狀況，仍有很大的改善空間。
